Great Photos!!

MTO, I'll take a stab at your question. It means the shot and how things within it are framed. A great example of good composition is the photo with the red gate and the man centered behind it.

Bradley, did I get that wrong?

I think Steve's best composition is in this photo:

Foreground - nice and full of color
Background - an intriguing mesh of wood

Another good eye catch:

Foreground - flowers but...
Background - in focus - nice view through trees

Composition is one of those things thats hard to describe, teach, and learn. Some people just have an eye for it, and it takes others years to master. More usefull into here:
http://photoinf.com/General/KODAK/guidelines_for_better_photographic_composition.html

I like the lines and shapes found in this picture:

I like the balance between the train and the lights and rails in this picture:
http://phpdev.ist.unomaha.edu/~sadams/2006_Highlights/Kenefick_Park/IMG_4595.htm

This picture has a good fore, middle, and background (even though it is crooked)

I like the framing in this picture, if only the sky wasn't so washed out:

Brad, How does your Tulips photo art relates to Spring Time in Lauritzen Gardens? True, there is a lot of Tulips in the gardens at springtime.

Otherwise, I enjoyed reading all your positive comments and the photo lesson you made with my Lauritzen Gardens photos.

Speaking of Tulips, I photographed one yellow tulip in the midst of red tulips yesterday in the Lauritzen Gardens

The Gardens are full of Tulips this time of the year, I just wanted to try something different with one of the photos took.
