Very cool infill development that is currently awaiting city council approval.  I think it looks like a very nice row house development.  We also need the infill.  I could be wrong but this should be just south of the area generally considered Little Italy.  Maybe Grace street is part of that district.

The link shows pics of the row house development.

correction.  This is nowhere near Little Italy.  Grace is 6 blocks north of Cumming.  Is this part of the North Downtown redevelopment area.  If not it is near the north end of it.  Good to see some nice new housing coming in that part of town.  Hopefully this is the first of many new developments to come.......I am sure it will be!!!!

Certainly looks alot better than what has been built on the former Logan Fontenelle site.

It may be fugly but remember how bad that area looked just a few short years ago and now it's a thriving inner city neighborhood.

The best part if I remember correctly that this is done with private money and not through a govt. subsidy.  This speaks volumes about at least some developers view on the future of this area.  When these sell, other developers will follow.

Uh, not quite private money...   Tax credits from NIFA and TIF.

I looked up the site on Google Earth. The location is a bit odd, it looks as though it is bounded on two sides by scrap metal yards. Low-income housing indeed...

There is a photo of this project in the new Greater Omaha Chamber magazine.  Looks like a cool project from the photo.

I don't have the magazine.  Is there any way you can post the photo?

Sure, give me a little bit, I am busy today.

You can also pick one up free at either chamber office.

I couldn't picture these before, until you uploaded that picture. Think it's going to be a long time before that area gets developed enough for fancier type homes like these to make it. Though I hope I'm wrong and do love these houses (and the huge brick apartments up the street, which are empty and being redeveloped.)

Thanks for posting that.  It must be in an oasis because I see several nice houses with a pile of scrap metal at the end.  Looks nice view of the city.
