Just shoveled driveway since it's going to be punishingly cold over the next few days - with the piles on the sides already from snow earlier this week, we had 2 foot drifts in some places. Hard to say exactly, but sure seems like more on the 8 side than the 4 side. Middle of the street had over 8in...

I live off west Dodge and the office is off the I Street exchange, so I go through part of this frequently. I think it's fine for regular drivers of the road, and I don't know that there is a solution for clarity that isn't get rid of the (already limited) I/Q interchanges, greatly sacrificing traff...

I think also have to consider - 29 also connects St Joe to KC, and when just looking at population served, as well as route directness, it makes sense to have that as a 4 lane interstate. Planned in 1963, when cattle and industrial trade between Omaha-St Joe-KC was more significant than anything on ...

The mall in Salina KS, where I grew up, had a set of doors that were 9ft tall and 4 ft wide, and had an easily removable center post so they could drive cars in. Source: me at 8 who watched them take the post out and drive the car in and asked the mall worker and my dad a ton of questions.

Re: Papillion Assault Case... how does this work?
My understanding with prosecution is that the prosecutor looks at cases, generally tries to understand what the case is going to cost, what the chance of conviction is, and then makes a determination on where to go. I'd guess in this case that they figured, case is going to cost 250k to try, and if...

Re: Big 10, What is next?
Really interesting to consider how transitioning to an alternative power model in a sport seems chaotic. For example, in European and most international soccer, the governing board sets the leagues, criteria for the leagues, and then promotes or relegates teams between leagues as appropriate to thos...

Right, meetings open to the public, but unless I am just not finding statutes correctly (again, not actually wanting to spend time researching, natch), Freedom of Information Act, for example, don't apply to the work the agents (like engineers, attorneys, etc) do. It also seems a clear picture of pr...

OK. let me rephrase see if I just didn't express myself well or am way off (NB, total lay person wanting to understand) The SID is not a municipality in the legal sense, but a separate kind of legal entity, which has different rules and restrictions around what it can and cannot do. The creation of ...

I am also not an expert, but have observed SID/HOA public/private entity things for a bit. Some thoughts - a) an SID is not a city so rules for what they can and cannot do are different as I understand it, essentially an SID is a for-profit enterprise, not a municipality and so has different restric...

Got to think that late-season run, plus Nembhard and Kalkbrenner back, plus what Kaluma showed against Kansas - polling should be high on the Jays. I think you got to see glimpses late season of what Hoiberg's teams could be at their best (which sorta mirrors ISU)- streaky teams capable of playing with and even sometimes beating ranked teams, but never quite getting over the hump to elite for more than 3-4 games at a time. But even at the end o...

Re: Central Library at DoSpace Site (72nd and Dodge)
I am confident there are plenty of factors (cost, road closures etc) not to do this, but if the city would build a bridge over Dodge (say around 74th?), allowing pedestrian access between the Library and Crossroads without having to deal with traffic, that might increase the walkability. Alternative...

If he was a better defender, he'd be a huge 3 and D asset. But even still, a consistent 3pt shooter that can finish at the rim is a valuable tool for every team. I agree, he'll play into his mid 30s. Absolutely, if he were a little more athletic and a little bit better on defense, that'd be a 22-25...
