The Miracle Hills Animal Hospital (NW of 114th & Dodge, north of First National, in the same strip mall as Kohll's Drug and others) is closing and services are moving elsewhere. We're told their lease is expiring along with other tenants in that strip mall and there will be demolition and new co...

My dentist is in the building -- I think it would be described as the east-west "retaining wall" section -- and they've told me it is holding up the building behind it (on Indian Hills). But heck, what do they know, they're dentists! I still say tear down as much as possible and build the ...

We went with a group and everyone's meals were served family style, which was a complete disaster. I know it's hard to compare places, but how does Giordano's rank to Lou Malnati's? Stand by for a possible firestorm! Those are the two Chicago pizza places I most often hear people passionately arguing about. I've been to both and both are very good. I held a preference for Giordano's because I'd ...

We have many good local pizza places in and around Omaha, but we seem to have trouble finding and keeping a good "Chicago style stuffed" pizza (in my opinion). I've visited Chicago many times and have gone out of my way to enjoy Giordano's, although some others are good, too. Some years ag...

Going back even farther, there were neighborhood rumors about the new HyVee at Saddle Creek and Center for a long time before it opened. Perhaps because the old store there needed serious upgrading.
