In regards to the College World Series, I don't think you'd find any city that wouldn't want to be like Omaha. Other than that, Charleston is the kind of place Des Moines and Omaha wish they could be. Desnse, historical, urban, progressive, modern. Sure it has it's rough places like any other city, ...

5 to ten years from now most major metropolitan areas will have citywide wifi networks, and the speed will only increase with technology and investment. Think of this as the late 70s and cable television is only in the top ten markets.....but wifi will be a lot less difficult and expensive to set up...

Take a look at what comprises the polls. If it includes all active arenas or just the arenas that belong to a specific group. Is it just concerts or are sporting events included. MSG in NY is a different animal than most arenas. Most arenas don't have thier own sports channel. Believe me, you can't ...

Pardon my intrusion, but I have this simple question to ask. Aren't most concert tours in the business to make money? And if that was thier goal, why would they pass up the chance to play at two first class venues just hours apart from each other with population bases that can support them? I've sai...

That was my point Finn. The Lied Jungle is an arificial construct blended with live material. The Iowa Rainforest project IS live material. It is meant to be a recreation of the natural habitat of a South American rainforest. Soils, insects, plants, birds, trees, everything. It is designed to be a l...

It is a man made forest, but unlike the Lied Jungle, the Iowa Rainforest project would use actual trees, plants, rocks, soils, etc...from the Rainforest in South America. In otherwords it wouldn't be an artificial construct meant to simulate an environment, it would be the actual environment. It's m...

Well.....why don't you guys come up with your own ideas. New York had a zoo long before you, and so did San Diego. How about your arena downtown. We announced our plans to build one long before yours (ours was held up in court for several years, hence your earlier completion date). How about your pa...

Another thing to consider. While Omaha may be a dense and growing population, the rest of Nebraska isn't. and finally one more consideration. I doubt you'd have an NBA franchise that would share facilities with an NCAA team. I can't think of one that does. So where does that put Crieghton and its fa...

In and around my hometown in North Iowa there are at least 5 wind farms this size and larger. OmahaChef, The Lidia's in KC has very little to do with Lidia Bastianich, other than it is her name and her son is running it. Yes Minneapolis Funk? Prince, The Time, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Shiela E (although she is a product of LA) and countless other deviations of form and content. I've eaten at Maggiano's in Mlps and several locations in Chicago. Of all the chain Italian eateries, it is my favorite. Much superior to Bravo, Biaggi's or Macaroni. Food is served family style like Bucca. Decor feels like an old Manhatten restuarant, lots of wood, tile, stucco, an white tablecloths.
