I don’t understand why Omaha doesn’t have the CWS Hall of Fame. with all the new things happening, wouldn’t it be a great time to get it here?

Re: Riverfront "Science Museum"

While they’re at it... Please create an area that features: 1: The science center 2: The college World Series Hall of Fame… It has no business being in Lubbock, Texas. 3: World class railroad museum If they are built within walking proximity of each other or share the same huge structure, tourists c...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

I was dropping off an architect/engineer at the airport about a month ago and they said that eventually the south parking garage will be razed making room for a new entrance and airport terminal.

Spoke with lawyer whom represents MOO in land acquisitions and firmly said the new building will be on the hill near their existing location.

Re: Mutual of Omaha Plans for the Future?

As an Uber driver, I pick up many people from the airport. Today I picked up two gentlemen who are independent contractors for Mutual of Omaha and I mentioned the possibility of a new headquarters and they immediately responded with, “Yes that is going to happen.” I mentioned that they would probabl...

On the other hand many lives started there. So, it was a happy place, too. Two of my kids were born there.

Re: Tenth Street Market

I lived in Nashville for 2 years (A city that is growing to fast for it's own good), and ate at the farmer's market there. Great food options from Barbq to authentic Jamaican. Craft vendors sold wares and each week a new foodie was given a special serving area to introduce their menu to patrons. Alw...

Re: Tetrad Development (Civic Auditorium)

Glad for the progress, but it's kind of sad to see the Civic gone. I remember my first circus in 1961 , Harlem Globe Trotters, Omaha KC Kings basketball and on an on. Oh well.

Re: 5 Brothers BBQ

I lived in Nashville, but had never heard about 5 Brothers in Memphis. However, what Omaha would like is a Hattie B's Hot Chicken either in the OM or at least a food truck during the CWS.

Flying out of Nashville in a few minutes and saw a zoo store in concourse C. Hum...is there a zoo store for Omaha zoo at airport? If not...should there be one? The zoo here doesn't even come close to Omaha's.

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

I used to live in Omaha and flew out about 20 times a year. I always thought it was one of the easiest to access. I flew to Fresno one way from OMAha three weeks ago for only 150.00. Which I thought was incredible considering it's usually 300-400.00. San Diego is a big city, but is also very easy an...

I was visiting my son in Omaha and had a chance to eat at Flagship Commons. I really thought the concept was creative and should catch on other places. I can't say there is anything quite like it in Nashville.

I remember eating in King Fongs on Sundays 45 years ago. Still glad to see it's not closing. Many great memories. First place I ever used chop sticks.

Re: Out of Town Forumers?

I was born in OmAHA, but raised for the most part in Bellevue...also live in Glenbrook Village, Papillion, Gretna. I still have relatives that live in the metro. I visit eomaha at least once a day to stay in touch. Maybe someday I'll get to move back.
