This is a beautiful design. Stunning.
…. The drop off/pick up sitch will still be stupid af- but the design of the new terminal is top-notch.

IND it was 65 to hotel downtown on Monday.
Last time I landed at CMH it was 70! But to Dublin.
I guess I would have just paid for the Uber like I do in other cities rather than stand in the cold???

Everything with the OAA and this project is annoying. Just release the stupid renderings already. And when they do, bet me it’ll be in blurry thumbnails on their website where zooming-in and trying to read/catch detail will be impossible. It’s almost like the final design choice is highly contingen...

Re: CHI Health Center (Century Link Center) Omaha Remodel
I love the new sign.
14 years, 4 month, 6 days until the other sign comes down. The non-profit Catholic hospital system that paid 23-million to have naming rights is still stunningly insulting and inappropriate.
I call it Qwest Center still and pretend I don’t hear people when they correct me.

How much money and how that worked is fairly well documented... I'd be curious how much if any is left. Here's the thing about whatever is left. They now are in the unenviable position of not being able to afford to bribe any airline to bring service. The board member that quit said they burned thr...

I see “Red Way” is already ending service to ATL, MSP, and AUS from LNK. You think? Pretty sure if money were to be made there, the airline who invented airlineing from ATL, and who assumed a massive hub at MSP, would be offering those routes out of that waste-of-space airport. We've been discussin...

We've know for 10 years they weren't going to do this. It is like complaining about not having an elevated upper and lower roads. We know it isn't going to happen. It serves no purpose to complain about it at this point. And even then I get the feeling based on this that some people would be compla...

I’m not someone who has traveled to all the continents and been to hundreds of airports, and maybe it’s just me, but the old saying that you never get a second chance to make a first impression really holds true. WN announced the MAX will not fly until at least June. It's looking like it could be another down year in OMA. I'm sure the previous potential flight increases for WN noted previously will likely be put on hold if they aren't adding any other planes to their fleet. https://mobile.reuters.com/articl...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield
As an aviation geek and frequent business traveler, Allegiant is not, nor will ever be considered by me. They are a ultra low cost carrier with very limited network for business travelers. Which is fine, it's not their targeted demographic. While their planes may be newer, their infamous maintenance...

That was nice...

In the October 2019 board meeting there is an item "Allegiant Air –Supplemental Agreement No. 5". I'm wondering what that is. I suppose it could just be an annual update or it could be something entirely new. If you go back and review others, this is not uncommon. I'd imagine any time the...

There was a lot of Regional Jet flying from San Diego cut at the same time, not just OMA. In Omaha there is one Taxi “button” you push for a taxi if none are visible. The taxis mostly wait out of sight in their own waiting area south of the terminal. Taxis use the lanes nearest the garages. They do not ever pick up passengers adjacent to the terminal doorways. I am thinking that Eppley ...

Stats are attached. Down 1.2% from last year. Biggest items of note, Frontier down 48.5%, AA down 4.3% and SWA down 4.2%. Allegiant up 67.2%, but they were only able to make up about 7k of the 10k pax load dropped by Frontier. With updates numbers I'm forecasting about a 1.43% increase on the year ...

Air Canada has appeared to drop the route in October. They are merging AC express flights to Jazz it seems. They also will be rid of the CRJ200. Because Frontier is being Frontier. They throw everything against the wall and hope something sticks. Last year they had more DEN service, service to SFO and to PHL from Omaha- also to SAN and AUS. It is odd with them, it doesn't seem to matter about load factor or perceived profit. They just move t...
