Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Let me address a single point. In the post above mine there is a quote for some cities I would like to see service to. He is quoting, I assume, demand to particular cities. Regarding such cities as PHL, BWI, JFK, Dulles, those are all gateways so demand to each as a final destination is irrelevant,...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

I like pie in the sky ideas for what could fill in route holes for Omaha or where I would like to see service, but I think we need to look at this rationally too. All data is for quarter 4 of 2015. There is going to be some seasonal variation particularly with warmer climate destinations in quarter...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

I gave up after 10 unsuccessful minutes of clicking around and just started going back though this thread. Mr Nuke posted a link, but mentioned it only listed city pairs with more than 10 passengers per day. So either there's not a lot of international travel from Omaha, or we all like to go to dif...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Q4 2016 PDEW Chicago 350 Denver 307 Phoenix 262 <snip> Are these the grand total numbers, or just the domestic numbers? Is there an international destination PDEW list for Omaha? PDEW has nothing to do with domestic vs international, I think you're misunderstanding PDEW. If you are flying from Omah...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

3) There is only a 75-77 PDEW. Southwest is foolish to fly a 137 passenger jet. 60 empty seats on average. What's PDEW? . PDEW = Passengers Daily Each Way... Is PDEW defined as a passenger that flies both directions in one day? Or do they allow stopovers to be counted? From what I understand, PDEW ...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Eppley is approaching the point where growth is beginning to call for preliminary design and planning for the terminal expansion project. If the numbers for 2017 continue the uptick trend (and I don't see any reason they won't) I believe the talk of terminal expansion will really grow legs Q1 of 20...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

ugh. 9% was ALREADY ADDED IN 2016. It is what provided for 4.2% growth YOY. With 446,000 seats added, and if we equate (INCORRECTLY, I MIGHT ADD) seats available with passengers traveled, therer would be a deficit of 267.361 seats/passengers. That number in addition to the previous differential divi...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Southwest flies 6x daily to Midway during the Summer and a few other busy periods of the year, otherwise it's been 5x daily during past several years during slow times. I believe this year they did drop down to 4x daily in January on off days this past year. Going forward, schedule looks consistent...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

As far as I remember, those markings have been at B15-B19…maybe I'm wrong. I don't know, I was not really paying attention to the numbers. One thing I do find kind of amusing is that one flight I take semi-frequently to Chicago seems to always take off a B-17 in Omaha and land at B-17 at Midway. :)...

Yeah- i get it now. I really wasn't considering the New England connection with BOS ( BOS more feasible than like PVD or BDL) and PHL base between NY and DC - corrected myself in mid post. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Steve McCoy (Omaha Airport Authority, Airline Affairs) said that Eppley had a 9% growth rate which would place them as the 9th best growing airport in the US last year. He also said that San Diego and Miami were the previous largest unserved cities for business travel, which now places Boston as th...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

One thing I did notice when waiting for a Southwest flight last week is that they now seem to have Southwest A-B-C numbered things on all of the gates on the east side of the north concourse. I always find it interesting that all of these flight (South Concourse included) want to get out between 5-...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

9% seat growth is for the entire year-over-year. To compare the traffic number (apples to apples) you would need to compare Jan-Feb 2016 seat growth number year-over-year... which we don't have. Seat growth and load factors vs. passenger traffic are very different metrics. To make them applicable to...

Re: A New Take On KMTV's Old Logo

Last year when KETV got their new set, I decided to mess around with photoshop and design a new set and logo for KMTV. I based it on CBS O&O graphics and a combo of Philly/San Fran set. I cannot find the original file- but I did find the picture of the screen I took with my phone. Ha. I really l...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

I think that permit was for the additional south screening check point? I know this is either complete or nearly completed. This apparently will reverse walking traffic to/from the south concourse. Toward the concourse you'll be walking to the left and entering to the left- as your walking those exi...

100% accurate.

Yes, the development you are seeing is for the temp. set up for rental cars as the garage housing them currently will be torn down for the new 6-story garage which will sit in its place.

Re: Idea For A Graphic Design For New License Plates In 2017

I like the white, black, and red scheme. Other colors have typically looked dated too soon and don't look as good on all automobile colors. You're on the right track. Can you do an inverse of that with black background and white letters and building line work? It would have an old blueprint look, e...

I am an amateur- the reason for a more simple design is as follows: Law enforcement likes plates with no background design. White, silver etc... easy to read. They also like numbers toward the top in a nice contrast to the simple background and prefer the state name on the bottom. The simpler, the ...
