Looks like they took the red lattice structure down and put it on a flatbed truck. I wonder if they are re-purposing that somewhere in town. I was wondering why they demoed everything on that block except that. Probably art that was commissioned back in the 70's or 80's. My guess is this structure ...

I noticed on my way home from work yesterday that the former Women's Center for Advancement building is being demo-ed. Not sure if that means any movement is occurring with this project -- could just mean this is an empty lot for a while.

Is it really too much to ask that we follow the density model of basically every other city (including Lincoln's Railyard devleopments for pete's sake), and design our parking garages so they have ground-level retail on the first floor and loft-style apartments on the top floors? I see too many bloc...

I kind of wish the pink color change was a done deal. Has anyone ever taken a jog or stroll from MTC to the downtown/Old Market area on cold, gray March day? Can we just restore the street grid to this area and start selling individual lots. You could build a 5 to 10 story apartment building with some ground level retail and rent every apartment to Creighton students in the first day. If the City really wants some height they should offer to build a new...

Downtown Omaha is teetering on the brink of being a total food desert, with no relief in sight for years (if a downtown Hy-Vee that we all hope for even comes to fruition).
