Former Mark’s Bistro
Heard some information recently that the former Mark’s Bistro building was being remodeled for a new restaurant and that it was being done through the Sherwood Foundation. The assessor’s site does show the property was sold in October 2022 for $1.5MM to an entity called K Richard Company, LLC. Sure ...

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
Was at the mall recently and heard some information on future expansion plans from a very reliable source. If it all comes to pass, some very cool things are in store: A Yeti store is coming to the old Tommy Bahama space. There have been posters in those windows for awhile. There’s still one more ou...

Re: Regency Court Remodel/Addition
Saw this sign on Paradise Bakery at Regency this weekend. That location will close on May 2, leaving the one at Village Pointe as the only one left in the metro. Will miss this as a great spot for lunch when out doing some running around in the area. https://i.postimg.cc/xJdPbgTz/68-D93-B2-B-B3-AC-4...

Sounds like May. Interviews for staff are being conducted now. A contractor should be starting work soon. There are signs in the windows now announcing their return, which is nice to see.

Re: One Pacific Place (105th and Pacific)
It’s official — Sur la Table is reopening in their former Omaha location around April 6. Jobs are now posted on their website for the Omaha location. SLT must be doing better out of the bankruptcy and with the new ownership. They have been reopening several stores around the country in the same spac...

Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma have signed new leases, this time extending for three years. Pottery Barn Kids did not, and their last day of business was today.

Re: One Pacific Place (105th and Pacific)
Two items of note at One Pacific Place. First, today was the last day of business for L’Occitane. After 14 years there they didn’t renew their lease. Told us that traffic had just dropped off too much and they were sort of the only thing left on that side that wasn’t a service business. Hoped their ...

Re: One Pacific Place (105th and Pacific)
Heard that folks from Sur La Table’s corporate, the owner that purchased the chain in the summer of 2020 and subsequently closed over half the locations, came to Omaha to discuss reopening the store in the same location. It’s still vacant and looks just as it did when they closed a little over one y...

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
Heard that the last day for Local will be Monday. Sounds as though the owner has decided not to renew the lease after a multi year dispute with the landlord. Pieocracy across the way has already closed and is currently being remodeled for Voodoo Taco, moving from its current location in the mall. No...

The marketing materials for Heartwood Preserve include an aerial view of Westroads with the major retailers named. Over the Younkers space it reads Dillard’s Coming 2022. The south tent structure tore apart in the strong winds today. Would assume that without any enclosed structure under it, the winds created an unintended effect that caused it to rip. The fabric whipping around was very loud. Took a picture of it. You can see part of it hanging down by the escalator...

Sur la Table is going out of business. The liquidation sale starts August 28, 2020. A few months ago the company went bankrupt and closed many locations, but Omaha survived that round of closures. Now the second round has come and ours is one that will be closed. Store is expected to be open until t...

Seems that JC Mandarin, the Asian restaurant near Westroads has closed. Anyone know why? Always thought they had fantastic food and a nice space. Sad to see it go. Don’t remember how long ago they closed their other location on S 168th Street. https://i.postimg.cc/JyDJ8HwG/A625-A94-F-0777-4-F93-AB0-...

Any further news on the potential Maggiano’s that was noted for the former Joe’s Crab Shack? Drove by there today and there is a large new “for lease” sign next to the building. That doesn’t bode well for a Maggiano’s deal. Sure hope we get one though. Maybe they will consider one of the Top Golf re...

Was at Village Pointe today and the space is gutted inside and out. It's now just a roof with supports and a back wall. Looks like Apple will be changing everything to fit with their new design, even the facade and windows. Will be a big store and very bright since it's on a corner.
