It’s intended to reroute traffic to Warlick, which has four lanes (annd shoulders) and there’s no train crossing. I don’t see what the complaint is here.

Re: US 77/West Beltway Proposal
Old Cheney’s kind of an important road in that area. Lots of drivers use it daily. I don’t think they’ll want to have to drive all the way up to Pioneers Blvd or down to Warlick. So yes, an overpass is necessary. And I’m not the only one who thinks that. I used to live in that area. They don’t want...

Re: US 77/West Beltway Proposal
They're finally going to complete converting US 77 into a full freeway next year. Personally, I think they should've done it years ago when they first built it. This is not the final plan. It's just a preliminary one. https://dot.nebraska.gov/media/1lrbkhmf/aerial-mosaic_4-9-24_lincoln-west-beltway...

People keep talking about how the streetcar is too expensive, blah blah blah… Well, we’d still have them if it weren’t for GM and big oil who came along, tore them up, burned the trolleys and said “here’s a bus instead”. It costs money to fix mistakes, but 100% behind bringing the streetcar back!

There is not a right away component. The agreement is they will build another small park there until they decide if they want another tower. I think the term is 20 years. If they do, they have a height limit of 20 floors or so. If they decide not to, they can sell the lot back to Omaha who can buil...
