Re: Heritage Food & Wine (formerly Zin Room)

Damn I wonder what they did with their awesome wine cellar/room and their wine collection. I know a few people who worked there and I told them to keep me posted if they auction off their wine inventory, but never heard anything back.

Re: Omaha Metro Area's Best BBQ

Anyone tried Tattoo Bob's by White House bar or whatever its called? I bought a smoker and haven't looked back (Pit Barrel Cooker), but I am tempted to try some of these spots around town (Smoking Jays, Tattoo Bobs). I liked Hog Wild a lot, made it a hungover Sunday tradition while watching NFL game...

semi-related but why does Google Maps Street View have large sections of Downtown Omaha in the dark? like pretty much all of Douglas St including in front (or besides I guess) this building is taken at night. Re: The Muse apartments (Micklin Lumber)

Is Creighton enrollment going up, and I didn't hear anything about it? This now seems like tons of new apartments to absorb, between this project and CUMC, that's what, like 750 or so new units, right? In the last 5-10 years, Creighton build a bunch of on campus dorms/apartments, plus I'm sure some...

Damn! They're closed?!?! Ate there a few times and loved it. Was pricey but worth it. Been wanting to go back for a while.

I had a pick up take out order once after the lunch rush and talked to the owner and chef for like 20 minutes. Really nice and genuine guy.

Re: The Landing (NuStyle redevelops St. Joseph's)

The hospital has such a weird floor plan (hub and spoke on pt floors, random atriums/courtyards, long hallways), I'm very curious to see how they will turn that into apartments. I can't imagine how much of an architectural nightmare it would be. Might as well knock down every wall except the exterio...

Great point about Mac not pulling starters earlier. He didn't go to the end of the bench even in blowout double digit wins until the last 2 min. Losing Zierden, Huff, and Hanson is going to be tough. Veterans who contributed solid minutes. Going to be interesting to see how position battles play out...

Idk how I feel about this. (I'm a seasonal CWS employee at a popular watering hole in the area) Last year was a pretty disappointing year in terms of the schools in the field and attendance, but teams really lit up the box score compared to past years. I do agree that its not a hitter friendly park ...

This legal battle means the house will surely get investigated and 99.9% of fraternities have something that could be exploited by admin to kick them off campus. Fraternities simply represent too big of a risk for universities these days. On the bright side, this house is on prime real estate halfw...

This was supposed to be our (Creighton's) Final Four year until Mo Watson tore his ACL Anyways, URI is a good defensive team. We're 1 pt favorites right now, and URI is a popular upset pick. Personally I have us beating URI and Oregon. Beating Oregon is very unlikely, but what's March Madness withou...

Big fan of Cosentino's in KC since I always stay at the Crowne Plaza whenever I go to KC for a guy's weekend. I'm just curious as to how a guy with a torn ACL can sexually assault someone? Kick him in the knee? We'll see how this plays out though. Really? Was that insensitive? Yes, but he's also innocent until proven guilty. And realistically, that is a very plausible question to ask. The other day I read ...

Food until 2 AM. They don't have hoods, but the food is really damn good regardless. Extensive liquor and wine selections, great craft cocktails.
