Re: Conagra campus development plans
they won't care because all of their promo pictures will be from the lake towards the building with it advertised as a lakefront office job.

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
Just an useless necro bump: The building is still empty. Hy Vee is still landscaping and doing clean up on the property, but they're still riding out the lease from what I can tell. They have all the lights on each night, too, inside and out.

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
I must have somehow missed it ,but then again there's about 3 of those stands between me and that lot, so I usually tapped out by the time I got to Supermercado's stand.
They already removed the Hy Vee sign from the building.

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
closed permanently about a half hour ago. They were up to 25% off everything at the end, and it looked like you'd expect.
It seems they're renting out the lot to a fireworks stand this year, it's already set up in the parking lot. First time they ever did that (even post fireworks legalization)

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
They recently redid the entire roof on Supermercado. They remodeled the entire inside when it was rebranded as Supermercado as well. I think they like their location, and the Q St Plaza is on the upswing after Planet Fitness moved in which also caused two other stores to rent out the mall. The only ...

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
I like what I've seen of Super Saver, so that could be a good one. Unfortunately all of them are way out of the way right now (I think one is in CB, and the other one is out past Millard on U St) I grew up less than a mile from this store back during the Jurassic era. I think this property was a Hun...

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
I'd like to see Baker's return to South Omaha. I think they aren't coming back though, seeing as how they sold their 50th & H location to No Frills when Albertsons left town and made no attempt since (and now that No Frills has closed and nobody has jumped on the spot) There's the one near 36th ...

Re: HyVee Growth Plans
Downtown is definitely starved of full-feature grocery stores. I've thought about living down there a couple of times, but the fact that you pretty much have to drive back out of downtown for a few things, might as well live next to those places. I lived in Vancouver BC Canada for a while, and what ...

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
Yeah, in hindsight it appears Cox must have had early information. Bank of the West also put a sign on their ATM stating another company was taking over the ATM at around the same time Cox left, so Hy Vee must have indicated something to business partners. Cox still clearly invests in the area, thou...

Re: HyVee Closing (36th & L)
Strangely, they JUST resurfaced the parking up (only up to the Hy Vee "property line", but still), and repainted the entire outside of the building (finally) to make it look nice again. I live only a few blocks from this location. - It's very obviously fallen behind the other Hy Vees. The ...
