This building is actually the Anheuser-Busch depot. It was used when they would ship beer by train from St. Louis to Omaha and then distribute it regionally. You may want to update the title. It was originally the Krug Brewery, and later taken over by Anheuser-Busch See Page 63 of "Building fo...

This is great news for the little business district between 35-36th and Center. This was the last unoccupied building in this area and it should bring a few people to Vis Major and Bull Moose not to mention Abelardo's. I just read that Lumen is opening this week. From what I've seen, they produce fruited sours on par with Drekker and Untitled Art. I can't wait to give this place a try soon.

A quick search in the OWH archives show that Anderson Excavating has been around since at least the 1960's. They cleared a bunch of the land downtown for the interstate and north for the north freeway.

I read today that apartments are being built on the long vacant lot on 39th and Dodge. Not sure of the design but can't be much worse than the current eye sore.
