I was referring to all of the ideas presented for Rivers Edge South on the CB side — playground, dog park, sports courts, bike course, etc.Renovator2559 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 5:13 pm Are you referring to the pickle ball courts, that they said they were going to continue working on? Re: Riverfront Rooftop Walkway
Remember when the riverfront plans were announced years ago, there were all sorts of concepts for sports courts and outdoor rec south of the pedestrian bridge. Did all of those ideas just get scrapped? Is it because of hopes for the golf course develoment?

Re: CHI Health Center (Century Link Center) Omaha Remodel
Because I know MECA takes many of its ideas from these forums  , I'll say that for my ideal expansion/upgrade I'd sure like to see the load-in facilities and apron enclosed and capped and the convention space expanded over that footprint. Then, cap the tracks and have an east lawn & promen...

Re: Heartland of America Park
Not going to happen, but getting those tracks removed would spur a huge amount of development along the river and truly get us back to the riverfront. Agree! What if the current railroad line could become a walk/bikeway, along the lines of the Minneapolis Greenway or the 606 in Chicago? Or somethin...

Re: Heartland of America Park
Question: is there anything that can be done to "beautify" the train lines that run through HOA? Was just looking at a video of the park again and it is just such an eyesore compared to the beautifully landscaped parks around it. I was a big fan of the cap idea when initial renderings of t...

Excellent! Love the stadium design. And that there are residential and retail components to this plan, as well as the additional pitches/pickleball courts around the stadium, to keep the area active outside of the season/game days. I would love to see more improvements, or at least some beautificati...

Time to line up some sponsorships.

I've actually wondered why airports have remained unsponsored up to this point. They are highly visible, like arenas, that you would think brands might want to attach their name to.

Huge step forward for the Omaha brand. Eppley is our city's first impression for many people — bringing it into the 21st century will most certainly have an impact beyond the travel experience.

Glad it sounds like some of the stops will include ETA signage. It would be really nice if they could also include heating lamps to make the wait experience more bearable in winter months. Minneapolis and Chicago have them at some transit stops.

I really hope something close to the original rendering comes to life versus what appears in the T3 rendering. A café overlooking the lake with what appears to be kayak rentals(?) below would add so much more activity.

It doesn't look like it from the rendering, but is the T3 going to have retail on the bottom level? I really hope so as this location seems to be a perfect street for shopping and restaurants with the landing in the middle of the street. If not, I prefer the other location.

It would be great if they could develop that block and include the covered sidewalks like the older buildings along 11th street. The covered sidewalks really give the Old Market its charm and make the area more walkable in rainy weather.
