Omaha mayor says future annexation of Waterloo is 'under consideration' Omaha city limits come within a mile of Waterloo, which covers the area roughly from the Elkhorn River to 240th Street, and West Maple Road to Blondo Street. Annexing Waterloo would put Omaha nearly at the doorstep of the large...

I think Nebraska and the surrounding counties neighboring Omaha need to collaborate and find a piece of land where They can buy up 1,000 acres to build in sewage ,electric and other components to make the site ready to build on. It would be very enticing for company to come along and see thag. They ...

Re: Gretna Annexation

Your answer is faulty any town or city with a population of 10,000 or more would need to vote on annexation by the city of Omaha. It wouldn’t simply just annex it. Secondly Gretna would be a great addition to Omaha and would give it access to the vital I-80 corridor. Thirdly this is premature and al...

Re: Gretna Annexation

Omaha can’t annex sadly across county lines like the others have said but if Gretna really wanted to stick it to Papillion and Sarpy county they should start something in the legislature or make a ballot issue to be Annexed into the city of Omaha. That would surely freak out Papillion I’d think. Jus...

Omaha has thankfully submitted a very long shot big for the HQ. What’s your thoughts on it and how do you think we can land such a deal? Also I was reading in the Omaha world Herald that Nebraska got passed up simply because we didn’t have a Mega site ready to go (1,000 acres). So any ideas how we l...

Bringing government agencies here

I was recently reading a article that the FBI is looking to build there new HQ's somewhere. I was wondering why Omaha wouldn't be on there radar since it's centrally located and what not. Also why not move a couple of government agencies out here? Such as the VA and stuff.
