The lobby for the Doubletree is above street level. The area beneath the lobby is a large underutilized hallway. Is there any possibility of opening this up and have 16th street pass under the hotel

The best soccer stadiums are intimate with seats close to the field. Kansas City's MSL team did not draw well when they played in Arrowhead but fill their soccer stadium. I would like to see a 8,000 seat stadium that is designed to be expanded with an additional 10-12,000 seats in the future

Dennis Pate did not say the Desert Dome but the Desert Dome Plaza. The plaza is the large open area outside the Desert Dome and the Lozier Theatre. In the original master plan document it showed trees placed in this area.

The Kiewit Conference Center was built to provide a facility where UNO could hold some classes downtown. UNO did have some classes there for a few years but they were poorly attended. Three years ago the NCAA made a new rule to allow Division 1 schools to give stipends to athletes in addition to their athletic scholarships. UNL gives their athletes $3600 a year. Union Pacific's operating headquarters have always been in Omaha. The corporate headquarters were in New York City until 1988 when it moved to Bethlehem Pennsylvania. It moved to Dallas in 1997 and then moved to Omaha in 1999. It was the first time the corporate headquarters was located in Omaha.

The plan I heard was to swing east on the Storz Expressway to 16th Street and then turn north. A new bridge would be built and then a new road in Iowa that would connect with 680 at the current exit east of the Mormon Bridge.
