Re: Capitol Place Apartments - 10th and Capitol
Any updates on this place? I haven't gone downtown in awhile, but I might post some photo updates this weekend if there is any significant progress!

Sampson Construction Downtown?
Last night I was driving West on Farnam through downtown and saw a decent size site with Sampson Construction signs. I believe it was around 23rd and Farnam, anyone know what this project is?

Re: Capitol Place Apartments - 10th and Capitol
That looks amazing, definitely has a lot of potential. This little/area corner on Capitol is going to look awesome once everything is done!

Anyone know where this may have been taken?
It's obvious that the spot is in Iowa, but I don't cross the river much...so I have no clue where the exact location is. I'm guessing it's a park and with that view it is probably a popular spot.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Omaha Skyline from Playland Park
Just seconding everyone's thoughts above, I am so thankful a forum such as this exists. It is great to know that so many others care about development here. Makes me even more proud to be from Omaha!

Re: Official: Capitol District
Those are beautiful photos Brad, and I agree that this is going to be a huge improvement for the area. It already seems to be bringing life to the area and it isn't even completed yet. With this project and the developments in North Downtown I am really excited and hopeful for what's to come!

Re: The Yard (15th & Cuming)
Design aside, I think it will do a nice job of filling up the area. I think once this gets completed and both buildings are side by side it will look great over there.

Re: Official: North Downtown Discussion
I am not sure if this was mentioned, but I did not see any threads or comments about it. It couldn't have been done too long ago, but from their page it looks like it is a renovated Ford assembly/Tip-Top products building; now called the "Tip Top Lofts". They actually look like pretty nice...

This is probably cliche but...a tower would look so nice there in my opinion. Here's to wishing.

Re: Official: Capitol District
The Canopy Lofts in Lincoln's Railyard run around $900 for a 1 bedroom and $650 - $750 per bed for the larger units. I think those prices sound very fair. If it all plays out correctly and there is an abundance of entertainment at your doorstep then yeah, i'd say it sounds very fair. Just depends o...

Re: Official: Capitol District
Apartment link is now available on Capitol District's web site: http://www.capitoldistrictapts.com/ If there is going to be as much in the Capitol District as they say I wouldn't mind paying what they're asking. If not though, that seems a little steep... Edit: Are they basically trying to make thi...

Re: The current/future state of 1416 Dodge
Meanwhile in most midwestern cities downtown has become red hot. http://urbanland.uli.org/development-business/special-section-midwest-3/ I wonder if there is some sort of aversion to living in DT for a lot of the city's residents. I did have someone tell me that because there is more room to "...

Re: Will anything ever happen with this lot? (15th & Dodge)
http://tackarch.com/portfolio/1416-dodge/ After the HDR debacle, good luck. OPAS has nothing to do with this lot, but they succeeded in showing any suburban companies that it's a huge pain in the aśś to build downtown. Are there restrictions from the city for what can be built on the lot? It seems ...

The current/future state of 1416 Dodge
This thing has been empty for years, i'm getting sad looking at it. I wasn't sure what to search in the forums but i'm sure there is an extant thread on this already. I know there was going to be some type of development here long ago, but haven't heard anything else since then; I am starting to wor...
