Re: Mutual of Omaha Tower (14th & Farnam)

Yes those are working slabs or mud mats - they are put down so that thicker mat slabs that are usually 2-4 foot thick can be formed and poured. You'll find these located in the cores of the buildings - which would make since due to the drilled piers/piles sticking up through the mud mat.

Looks like the building owners are floating around a face lift. Scope of work right is for a new skin, infilling and adding SF in between the two buildings and demo the existing parking garage and building one with 600 Stalls.

Looks like Amazon is moving forward with another warehouse located at the NW corner of highways 275 and south 24th street. Currently it's a 270,000 SF warehouse - It won't be as big as the one in West Omaha.

Glad to see this project come out of the ground. I'm glad WR went with something a little different to bring up the typical box structure.

I think the 2nd hotel is called Tribute hotel with Aloft being behind it. Parking will consist of a parking garage underneath of the Aloft hotel.

This amazon building has over 2.5 million SF of floor space as it has 3 level of mezzanines, in only an ...

My company did some work out there while this was built. From what I saw, there was no regard to the expense of things... One of the homes out there had two barns back east demo'd to use the logs in it's design, and the gutters where from a small town in Germany that took 6 months to get. I wouldn't...

So that was the hold up. Time for another grading and Sir Charge. The project has gone through 2 different GC's providing estimates to the owner with the owner bocking each time saying the cost is to high. Then finding a new GC to rebid the same project. What the owner doesn't realize is the site f...
