Yes those are working slabs or mud mats - they are put down so that thicker mat slabs that are usually 2-4 foot thick can be formed and poured. You'll find these located in the cores of the buildings - which would make since due to the drilled piers/piles sticking up through the mud mat.

Looks like Amazon is moving forward with another warehouse located at the NW corner of highways 275 and south 24th street. Currently it's a 270,000 SF warehouse - It won't be as big as the one in West Omaha.

I think the 2nd hotel is called Tribute hotel with Aloft being behind it. Parking will consist of a parking garage underneath of the Aloft hotel.

Don't be surprised if Amazon builds another last-mile building at 132nd & Cornhusker... I can confirm of plans for one to built in that location(Project Romeo) and one being planned off N.72nd and State Streets (Project Viking) Very interesting -- I knew about Project Romeo at 132nd and Cornhus...

The new Sioux Falls Amazon fulfillment center is 2 million square feet, I wonder why they chose to make that location so much larger. These distribution centers are pretty much all cookie cuter. My company did some work out there while this was built. From what I saw, there was no regard to the expense of things... One of the homes out there had two barns back east demo'd to use the logs in it's design, and the gutters where from a small town in Germany that took 6 months to get. I wouldn't...

Looks to be 2 building on the west side of HWY 50 and 1 on the east side.Trips wrote:Did anyone hear that this is now going to be 3 buildings instead of 4? Still a massive project but in typical Omaha fashion it is being scaled down.
