Some townhomes in the upper floors with views of the GLM and the river would be attractive, esp given their access to parking.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. I would assume the lake is completely frozen, if so, where are the Swans hanging out at? The main visitors center has a bubbler in the lake that keeps that part of the lake from freezing. They were right in front of that building. Thanks! I have been meaning to go up...

Build, if your logic was correct then why is Europe not having the same problem? Swans at DeSoto Bend

Was up at DeSoto Bend today. Aside from the geese and ducks, they have about 60 swans migrating through. Never realized how much bigger they are than Canada geese. The rangers said that they have been coming through for 3 years and each year increasing in numbers. Something to check out this weekend.

Re: Omaha transportation's $7.4B future

In an ideal, utopian city, you would certainly not be deprived of a bus line on major thoroughfares such as 132nd Street. However, the style of low-density, autocentric, non-grided suburban development that has been allowed to occur in that area makes transit financially unfeasible. It's a trade of...

I have to disagree. We are talking about a building that could not be remodeled because of structural problems, in an Old Towne district. Wouldn't that building be designated as blighted? And for a TIF it returns a substantial tax return business for the city? For a building that might return $1k i...
