Re: Official: Capitol District

One last, last tidbit... There will not be a Jumbotron on any walls, but they may bring one in for occasions. The courtyard will not have Greenspace but lots of tables and umbrellas. I can't believe they are not going to have a Jumbotron. Incredibly short sighted. I am thinking about all the events...

Re: Baseball Hall of fame (College)

Lot B would probably make the most sense. My first thought was the river front with the river right behind the outfield fences if you had a working baseball field. Not sure if there is enough room back there. It would also serve as an incentive to get the pedestrian bridge expanded to TD Ameritrade ...

Re: CWS question

We are going to be downtown on Thursday. Would love to check out the game. How hard are General Admission tickets to get out side the gates? Do they sell out often? Really don't want to see the whole game, just a couple of innings. I would not try it if LSU is playing. They had a huge crowd for GA ...

Sad to see the opening ceremony cancelled as I was looking forward to going, but my neighborhood was the one where the EF2 tornado started so I am lucky that we don't have more damage than we do. Only lost our privacy fence, some shingles, patio furniture and our pool. Hopefully I can make it to a ...

Re: 2017 College World Series

Overall I think a great starting weekend. The crowds were good and weather better than average. Anybody going, I would advise getting there early. The new security procedures seem to be causing longer and slower lines to get into the stadium. We went Saturday afternoon and I would say it took twice ...

Re: MECA Business News (CLCO/TDAPO)

I am all for the increased security, but I was wondering....are other major venues in other cities doing this? I doubt they do this outside MLB stadiums. Can't they just add to the number of poles that are installed in the cement, or do a thing similar to Target with the giant red balls. Maybe that...

Pretty impressive. Staying power of the new name, also keeping it fresh (they added powder stuff last year in a nod to the big league parent club):

Wow that would be an interesting move. The one on 144th gets busy, though they might have even less parking if they move to 132nd.

The problems I see in Morrison are alcohol and concession sales, team locker rooms, team offices and retail space. Parking I think parking would be easy down there. Nights and weekends is when the team would be playing, mostly in the summer. When I've gone to CU games there it's never been an issue...

Re: Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

Well if Omaha is serious they should look at charging the Zoo for the additional officer's time directing traffic. It's kinda a drain on resource's to be honest. That one officer could be stopping a crime or helping someone and the Zoo is taking up valuable resource's. Only way the Zoo will fix it'...

Kaufman is great for watching baseball, no doubt. The sad truth is that Kaufman has absolutely nothing near it for food, bars, etc., while the Sprint Center is in a great area with KCLive, etc. & no teams play there. Ironic. To me that's what I like about it. With baseball I'm not a huge fan of...
