I really like "C" I think a lot of people would skate there if the ice was safely frozen. It has to beat skating at sterile Benson or Tranquility. Also, Benson and Tranquility are far away. The SE part of town would have better access to ice skating.

I agree with Streets, something is borderline "fishy" about this. I think there is an interested party of some sort, that just didn't want to pay the costs of demolition. This especially seems true if you reference the article written in March.

DTO I would think that you would be pleased with Lincoln's aspirations. Common sense would tell you that MECA would become even more driven to add seats and make their planned addition to the Convention Center.

For some time, the state of Nebraska has had a goal of connecting, through expressways and freeways, communities over 10,000 people to the interstate. The freeway we know as West Dodge Road would connect Fremont and eventually Schuyler and Columbus to the interstate.

I like it except I would stretch the financial district into the Upper Market area that is south of I-480. I know it currenty is not home to a lot of office buildings, but it probably should and eventually might be.

DTO- While the Pit may be smaller and older than most arenas the NCAA has to choose from the history that has taken place at the Pit regarding the NCAA is probably part of the reason the NCAA grants them major events.

Girls and Boys Town broke ground Thursday on a 22-bed hospital to treat children with a combination of physical disability and behavioral problems.
Sounds like a specialized hospital that does not have full service ER or OR capabilities hence the need for only 22 beds.

It is actually more like 16th and Nicholas, which isn't that far from 15th and Douglas. You could walk that in 30 minutes or less. The homeless hang around the mall during the day and retreat back to the river and SF at night.
