Re: Cabela's wouldn't take my card without using PIN no.

That's really strange. It can be hard to find, but usually there's an option on the card reader to skip the PIN prompt and run the transaction as a credit. Maybe the cashier didn't know what they were talking about. Stores want check card transactions run as an ACH debit due to lower interchange fee...

You could probably beg people to take 10th St, or arrive from the South all day, but they will still take the Interstate. Attendant assisted parking would help. The lots would fill sequentially, reducing congestion from people roaming around. As long as the city isn't charging them for all the polic...

Work Boot Recommendations

I'm in the market for new work boots. I work in an ag environment, so they need to stand up to mud and chemicals. Safety toe would be nice but not necessary. People complaining about Werner Park's location make it sound like they built the thing West of Springfield or something. 123rd and Highway 370 is a very busy corridor, and that area will definitely fill in with time.

Once more people live close the stadium, the surrounding land will fill in. Developers aren't going to build a bunch of retail and commercial space that only Westmont residents will feasibly visit.

Often times, secondary locations don't end up producing the same quality product as the primary one. Not having a sit down bar/restaurant may hurt them, but I'm sure Oscar's wouldn't be doing a takeout only store if they didn't have a sizable takeout volume at their other location.

I don't think that you'll ever see a city friendly slant to any article like that. I found it hilarious that they quoted Mello's jab at the mayor without publishing any specific plans from him regarding infrastructure and what he would do differently. I wonder if they even asked.
