Re: 16th Street Master Plan

Anyone here have any information about the BID that the city is proposing for 16th Street? Property owners got a letter in late June/early July stating that the city is trying to create a BID for 16th St. from Dodge to Howard Streets. I heard a rumor that the city is looking for a way to assess the ...

Re: 16th Street Master Plan

cdub, if the plan fails, it will fail for one reason, instead of listening to the residents and property owners who live and work on 16th St. on a daily basis and know what works and what doesn't on that street, the city shut them out of the design process. The new sidewalks took away significant se...

I wouldn't say it is elitist- after living on 16th for 6 years, and seeing the 300+ buses rumble down the narrowest street in downtown, I would say it is practical to move the buses somewhere else (even a block or two so there could be multiple lanes of traffic). There should be a bus stop on 16th, ...

It has been a while since I posted on here since I moved out of the area, but I asked a very similar question to ODIDA since I heard the buses were still running on 16th and I thought that getting the buses off 16th was the first phase of getting the street redone. I still own property on 16th so I ...

I heard these guys had to do a ton of work on the space which is why it is taking so long. Someone told me that they had to dig out the basement because the coolers for the kegs were too big and wouldn't fit... I'm not sure if its true, but if it is that is definitely a lot of work.

Yes, this median is more suburban that urban.   How so? I've seen the design a number of times and it didn't look suburban to me- there really isn't enough space for it to look suburban.
