Re: Mall of the Bluffs
During it hay day back in the 90’s it was fairly nice mall. And sometime after the 90’s it started to decline. I know in the winter it was a popular place for people in CB to take a walk around and get some exercise. Like Omaha’s Oak View mall it peaked and died out rather quickly. I left Omaha in ...

Good move. The 407GX is a far more capable aircraft than the OH-58 and 206L-4 it is replacing.

Surprised but not surprised to see that KMart finally succumb to the market. That one seemed to hang on way longer than it should have.

There was also one in Council Bluffs - was in a shopping center pretty much east of the city before you get to Iowa Western Community College. I think there was a K-Mart there at one point. Pretty sure it was Railroad Avenue by the K-mart there. I remember getting a super cheap hot-dog so I'd have ...

There was a connector built for traffic to continue west on 480 were the Interstate turns downtown that went all the way to 30th street but it was never used because the construction of the road stopped. The bridge sat unused for 30 years and was torn out when the Interchange was rebuilt in the 90s...

Re: Chiefs to expand “Red Thursday” throughout the kingdom, to Omaha in 2015
Chiefs can't find a decent QB for the life of them going back for decades and haven't been able to get a good O-Line together since the Shields, Roaf, Waters era. They can't find a decent quarterback because they haven't invested in one. They haven't drafted a quarterback in the first round since 1...

I have to disagree that the fans tolerate losing and does the owner. When Clark Hunt took over he brought in Scott Pioli who was widely regarded as top GM candidate around the league. He did fail spectacularly. Attendance started to dip (I was getting emails from the Chiefs on ticket specials), and...

The Chiefs have the same problem Nebraska has. Both teams have quarterbacks that have hopelessly flawed passing skills. Tear down Storz and put the boats from that one park there. Yes, and it definitely needs to be well secured, or |expletive| like ...

Well, that's the NFL. This is College. Those kinds of offenses don't always work. No offense always works. That said, any offense that works in the NFL can work at the college level. The NFL is where the absolute best football is played and the talent gaps are very small. Even the worst NFL player ...

Only this year's Nebraska team can get the break they need at the end of the game and still find a way to lose. Coaches called the last three offensive plays that they needed last week. I had to ask. I mean, Riley's a West Coast coach who uses a pro-style offense. Bill Callahan tried that and look how that turned out. Suttle could be pretty ignorant at times. With all of the budget issues we had going on (he inherited them), the bike czar was really poor timing on his part.
