Re: Where to keep my motorcycle in Dundee
Nah, basement storage wouldn't work. My motorcycle is too big and heavy to even consider stairs.

Re: Where to keep my motorcycle in Dundee
Yep, I did see that and called them. Their smallest unit is something like 15' x 10' and they want $100 per month for it. That's way too much wasted space - plus, there's no place to keep my truck if I want to take the bike out.

Re: Where to keep my motorcycle in Dundee
Thanks.
Yeah, it's definitely been a while. It's weird - every other part of Omaha is chock-full of storage places, but there are none around me.

Re: Pot
Ehhhh.. most "scientific" arguments against pot are thrown out there by people misinterpreting the data. Read the reports directly from the researches and the doctors, and it's a whole 'nother picture. I believe marijuana should be legal on its own merits, but heck, let's play the comparis...

Where to keep my motorcycle in Dundee
I just moved back to Omaha after spending a few years in the South. I live near 50-ish and California, and the neighborhood seems nice 'n mellow and safe. I stepped out of my apartment today and saw my neighbor was having a window replaced in his car. I asked what happened, and someone had just brok...

Contained fires in Omaha - laws?
I had a raised fire pit (basically just a thick screen on wheels) 2 years ago, and a neighbor called the fire department. Â The firemen basically came into my back yard, looked at each other, laughed, and walked away. Â One of them told me that it was perfectly legal. On that note - is it just as le...

I saw Carlin's last performance in Omaha. Â He explained the delay and how heart failure works. Â Interesting stuff. Â Great loss for comedy. Now.. as far as Bernie making his way into this thread.. I'm sorry that he died - that sucks.. but I hated his work. As far as Isaac.. well.. guess Scientolog...

I guess I'm gonna be one of the few that don't care either way. Â I had some great times at the Ranch Bowl like lots of people here.. but just because we had good times there doesn't mean that it's coming back (especially with the Walmart up). Â Omaha's a growing city. Â This is just another sign of...

What's with apartment prices?
I've been apartment hunting for about 2 months now and can't seem to find a reasonably priced place. Â Not just in Omaha, but La Vista and Ralston as well. Â I'm not *too* picky. Â I just don't want to live east of 72nd St (unless it was in the Dundee area). Â I'd like to find something for around $...

As far as location goes, I'm not too picky. Â Preferably nothing east of 72nd or west of 156th, nothing north of Maple or south of Harrison. Â Pretty broad range. Yeah - I forgot about all the New Year's resolutioners. Â That's going to be annoying. I'm going to keep an eye on this thread for a week...

FNB building.. looks like something from Final Fantasy VII
If anybody happens to be familiar with RPG video games... I finally saw what I think was the FNB building at night, and it sorta reminded me of the Shin-Ra Building from that game. Don't have a better picture of the building until I dig through my memory cards, but Brad's avatar does the trick. ...

I'd probably drop them off at a Goodwill. Â Otherwise just trash them. Â I don't imagine that the cardboard and paper used in books is really that bad for the environment, especially if sitting around in a landfill. Â I hate to see any kind of book go to waste - I bet you could give them away in a h...

Good gym??
Hi there. Â I'm joining a gym next week and I'm still not quite sure which to go with. Â I don't need anything fancy - I'm fine with treadmills and weight machines and free weights. Â I want something that's open 24/7. Â Most importantly, I want to find a gym that won't be packed around 5 or 6 pm (o...

I'm actually surprised Yahoo is ahead of Google. And youtube is #3... helping fuel our nation's current greatest economic expansion. I'd assume it's because Yahoo! has been around forever, and there is a TON of software that still sets Yahoo! as the homepage, whereas Google doesn't use that tactic ...
