Went to the zoo today for the first time in about a year and a half and I was rather impressed with all the new stuff. The Africa area was definitely a big highlight, especially the giraffe viewing area and the new lion section. It was also nice to see elephants again.

I'm just curious why Council bluff's who has a large county way bigger then Douglas has never expanded as greatly as Omaha has. Stigma is my guess. It's a lovely town east of South Expressway, but many don't venture that far and only know it for what they see immediately over the river. Maybe River...

I mean honestly as a fairly liberal Democrat who voted for Sanders in the primary I'm perfectly happy with this outcome. Stothert has proven herself to be a good centrist mayor and not one to walk the party line.
