Re: Official: Gene Leahy Mall

The idea initially was to spur development along the mall. It did that in a small way with the library, office buildings, etc., but it didn't actually do what was envisioned, high rise housing, retail, 24/7 push. In the beginning it did bring people back downtown after hours and it did get downtown ...

Yeah. Anyway, I'm going to change my prediction and guess that OMA finishes with about 4.6 million. I'll guess that next year OMA finishes with somewhere around 4.8 to 4.85 million. The caveat is that there isn't a month long hurricane near a city that OMA sends a lot of people to, or there isn't a ...

I clicked on that link to see how much a franchise cost. It looks like you can buy a franchise for about 25,000. That is cheap. You also must give them 5% a month of gross sales forever and another 1 1/2% forever for advertising. The ad says they can get you up and running in 60 days. You fly to Ne...

Giordano's is one of my faves in Chicago. 34 would be correct. At 4 round trips per day with 9 passenger planes you're only looking at somewhat over 2,000 passengers per month. Not much of a windfall but hey, why not?
