This is fantastic growth.. As the W-H piece points out, a strong indicator of an excellent economy combined with increased demand for larger planes, more seats and now a record 29 non stop destinations.. I'd like to see that number increase to the mid 30's within the next 18 or so months... Ciao..L...

Years ago when Smithey was director he was quoted in the owh as saying the area was roughly a 150-200 circle. Think of it this way: Out to Grand Island, north to Sioux City & somewhat Sioux Falls, east to a bit west of Des Moines, south to a bit into Kansas and Missouri. He said it depended on ...

All good arguments here. IF this EVER gets to a planning board and city council agenda you really need to plan to attend as a group and make these arguments. Make it a forum meet. AND, contact the mayor and city council members NOW with your concerns. They need to hear them NOW. Especially the mayor...

Amazing. He spends money on new proposals, doubles the tif(?), ups the cost, and then conveniently leaves out part of the application. How did he get Nebraska Crossing done? Lots of detached garages around here in Detroit. Alleys too. In some older areas near us no garages at all, just driveways. People deal with it. Not too different from apartment complexes with no garages. I would agree on the lack of ranch houses. While not necessarily popular in newer suburbs as I ...

There's a difference between getting a restaurant chain to come to Omaha and wooing a business. In most cases the restaurant is a franchisor. Thus, you either need to find someone willing to buy a franchise and/or lobby the franchisor to seek out a current or new franchisee. If you want a particular...
