City-County Building Expansion?
Annex considered for City-County Building BY TOM SHAW WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER Omaha has grown tremendously over the past 30 years, but City Hall hasn't - leading to cramped offices for departments and agencies. To give Omaha and Douglas County workers more space, the downtown City-County Building...

I'm sure Oklahoma will win by 4 or 5 touchdowns when the Huskers go to Norman, but I don't think anybody should expect a repeat of what happened in Lubbock. My prediction is Callahan will reign his West Coast offense in a little more now. Run it. Do some ball control stuff. I hope anyway. Well that...

I am a Creighton grad and of course cheer on my alma mater (except when they play the Huskers) Finn, thats the problem with Omaha's support for its sports teams. Their all huge fans till they play the huskers. Its like they completely forget about the fact that they used to support that team. We wi...

Re: Holland Performing Arts Center
WOW, I can't wait till this is done. It looks great! What a nice addition to downtown it will make. Was there any truth to the HC having any street level resteraunts or something like that?

Thank GOD!!! 132 has been messed up for...EVER. Thank god most of the major projects in the city of omaha( minus the expressway) will be completed (supposedly) soon. The bad thing is that once all these major ones are done, the city will find more roadways to tear up and redo. I mean we really need ...

DTO, that overflow office space for companies w/ an Omaha Hq is a great idea! But project man, I was just refering to UPC in tallness. I forgot about that small fact. BTW, DTO you need to like tell someone of improtance that. That is a freaking great idea! Think, all those companies could make like ...

Speaking of Village Point, anyone notice that American Eagle looks to be opening soon. I didn't think they were going to keep their plan for VP but I guess they did. Atleast VP's gettin more shopping I guess. BTW, this is great news. I haven't seen any of them in any other cities but I will have to ...

Hey, I just checked out the web site for the Paxton. WOW! I am so excited for this project. If you look at the basement floor plan, you can see that the Paxton will include a home theatre, an exercise room and a bike storage area. It also looks as if it will have street level retail. This is so cool...

Yea, they really seem excited about this. This is one of the things I love about Omaha, rather than tearing down our old buildings, we make them useful again. I am really glad the Paxton ended up working out. It really didn't look to good for the Paxton a year or so ago. Atleast we didn't loose a bu...

I would love to see something in the way of KC's signs downtown. First though, the city and downtown would need to be divided up into districts. DTO, I disagree with making the sign fit the 'feel' or the area. It needs to stick out so that it is visible to tourists but yet it needs to be cool lookin...

Wow that would have been so cool. But as for the con agra thing, I wouldn't be suprised if Con Agra left town if the city took the land so that they could develop it. It would be a shame too. I mean it is really a beautiful campus and really was the reason for all of the riverfront development we se...
