There is some validity to Big E's comments....NFL wants back in LA bad...but I disagree so much so they want out of MPLS and KC type markets. If they wanted in LA sooo bad, they have had many chances to move a franchise there. NFL is what it is today not just because of TV revenue....at least IMO. D...

j...my comment wasn't directed specifically at you. Just making a general statement about the plaza being more than stores. Even if you aren't looking for a home, poking around the edges of the neighborhood is cool.

not bitter at all. Just saw a comment about "KC forumers" that I had not seen anywhere so thought I'd se the record straight for people that don't read the KC site. Every person on the KC site has been excited about this development. Hope it is approved and adds to the skyline. Go Omaha.

did you read comments about the TWA building, 1115 Walnut, or heck even the 2-3 story stuctures being torn down for the P&L district? All of those were torn down for a bigger, "better" replacement and people fought those tooth and nail on the site. I'm pretty sure many of us would have...

I heard a lot of KC forumers are kind of bitter about Townsend coming into Omaha from their home town and building such a large building that even dwarfs their own Wallstreet tower. I'm not sure you can judge how good a design is by how many sharp points it has....you are fine to have your opinion but I think this tends to be less about the design and more about the location.

that would be one messed up glass tire. I'm actually excited everybody doesn't like it. It's easy to make something basic that everybody agrees with. What really matters is the inside anyways, the exterior is nothing w/o a great arena inside. MPLS boy....do you like the exterior of the Target center...

yup, the visitor's bureaus are describing the shopping feature....the thing that draws the tourists. Talking about the entire neighborhood of highrise condos won't draw many people. I see what you are saying...within the shopping itself there isn't many over 5 stories...I'd say 5 seperate buildings ...

those are all in what is considered the plaza. If anybody thinks the plaza is just the 14 blocks Highwoods runs, then they really have no idea what the plaza is about.

the KC zoo does have tigers...now BEARS is a different subject. The KC Zoo is pretty sad but is steadily getting better. It's good to have such a model to look at in the Omaha zoo.
