There is some validity to Big E's comments....NFL wants back in LA bad...but I disagree so much so they want out of MPLS and KC type markets. If they wanted in LA sooo bad, they have had many chances to move a franchise there. NFL is what it is today not just because of TV revenue....at least IMO. D...

All I can say is consider the source. This guy is a horrible gossip columnist with limited/no insight into KC...so he hangs on to the few sources he has, no matter where they might move to. I don't see how this hack responding to a Becka comment is KC as a whole being jealous? Here, you can go read ...

so KC people saying we can't believe they are tearing down the building means we are bitter at Townsend? Keep reaching. Better yet, quit trying to cause issues that aren't there. Go read the 5 pages about this on the kc site...nothing but positive comments, except the fact that we think the building...

I heard a lot of KC forumers are kind of bitter about Townsend coming into Omaha from their home town and building such a large building that even dwarfs their own Wallstreet tower. Not to mention that our skyline will become closer to theirs in stature. now where in the heck have you read one comm...

^Yes, but they're so called negative comments are in response to some of the select few KC'ers who seem hellbent on badgering Omaha all the time. Some of our comments pale in comparison to what's been said of Omaha over on kcskyscrapers. Show a little respect, and we'll gladly reciprocate. That sai...

that would be one messed up glass tire. I'm actually excited everybody doesn't like it. It's easy to make something basic that everybody agrees with. What really matters is the inside anyways, the exterior is nothing w/o a great arena inside. MPLS boy....do you like the exterior of the Target center...

I'm sad you guys don't like the new drawings...maybe we shouldn't build it. I mean if anybody thinks any piece of architecture is ugly, it isn't worth building....let's just build a concrete box with some windows....we shouldn't be daring and do something outside the box. Maybe we could then add a c...

yup, the visitor's bureaus are describing the shopping feature....the thing that draws the tourists. Talking about the entire neighborhood of highrise condos won't draw many people. I see what you are saying...within the shopping itself there isn't many over 5 stories...I'd say 5 seperate buildings ...

Thanks for the comments KC... I think we can take from this... an overall thumbs up on Eppley Airfield. Yup. I caught my flight and landed fine. I care nothing more about airports. the route-in comment was just us getting confused because we are used to KCI driving off i29 and jumping right into th...

Well the 3 hour drive was well worth us saving $1400....but I agree I wouldn't make the drive (either way) to save $100. Impressions of a first time Epply user: - The route to the airport didn't seem very straight forward. Odd getting to an airport on what seemed a normal 4 lane road vs. many airpor...

Just an update to the original purpose of this thread. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/news/local/11062003.htm Seems the KC PAC is not alone when it comes to these upper tier centers. The disney center in LA was raising money since 1987 (approx $300M center) and the Dallas Center (~$250M) h...

depending on how/when the census changes it's figuring of MSA....in a 100 mile radius I'd say KC and MPLS have very similiar population figures...just a guess. Just like I'd say Omaha and KC have very similar population figures in a 180 mile radius. I'd take that bet. I use 100 miles just be...

no doubt....just saying I like the direction KC is going and how it relates to our peers like MPLS. We face similiar opportunities and issues. We are more than comfortable with MPLS people coming on our site and discussing our differences. We are now at the point where we can hold our own in my aspe...
