Just looked and all the night games are sold out. The tickets on Ticketmaster are re-sale tickets and cheapest are about $60. I really hate the way the series is run for ticket sales. I wish they would bring back GA, but that is never going to happen. The games for the championship are already well ...

and we thought OUR riverfront was cool... Holy |expletive|. I would love to see some more housing/retail/restaurants along the river. The parks we have are phenomenal, but how great would it be to walk out your front door to the river? That does look nice, but I would much rather prefer a lake over...

Re: Downtown Soccer Stadium (Abbott Drive)
Some of that can be misleading though. They often have 2 dates with Nebraska that will draw around 10k. Without the visitors, that number drops significantly. That used to be the case, but not in recent history. Here are the totals from the past few years: 2022: 3,110 2023: 2,479 & 5,121 2024: ...

Well, Frankie Fidler is headed to Mich St. Thought that CU or Nebraska were the place where he would end up, especially after Chucky decommitted from Wisconsin.
He is a good player, but the level of competition is going to be drastically different for him.

Re: Downtown Soccer Stadium (Abbott Drive)
Agree, it would be nice for Creighton. Right now, they can get 4,000 people but the stadium is so cavernous that it feels horrible. There just isn't any demand for their tickets. Maybe if they can build a nice stadium similar to Morrison with great downtown views and make it more fan-friendly people...

That view of the building looks better, but the view facing 480 looks pretty basic. Hopefully they can design a little more aesthetics to other buildings that go up in this development.

I am excited to see how everything looks this year with the redesigned park. I have stated this before, but this, in the past, was the only regular event that utilized the parks. I thought it was decent before, but hopefully it will taken to a whole new level now.

Either way, that is great to see. We have been down there on two separate weekends for at least 3 hrs each time and both times it was absolutely packed. Like I have said before, it would be nice to see some businesses, other than food trucks, taking advantage of number of people down there. I though...

Re: Downtown Soccer Stadium (Abbott Drive)
I just think it's funny that Omaha's front door could end up being a collection of 5 different stadiums in a few years. What are the 5 stadiums? I know CHI, Schwab Field and then the soccer stadium but what else are you counting? And I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing. Especially if deve...

Re: The Crossroads (72 & Dodge)
I feel like it's time to close the book and start over. The city should cut a check to buy the land back. Tell the developer we need to part ways and start looking for a developer that will bring us a real urban development. What they are presenting is a low density outlet mall with a pocket of den...

What a joke. I don’t even know what to think. They definitely need to have a concrete timeline or pay. I understand the new developer took over but this is insane on how long it has taken without a single structure being built.

As we can now see the parking floors are indeed wrapping around the tower on the east side. I don’t think that is the case at all. You can see in the 2nd picture I took today, it’s just scaffolding. On the sides you can see the levels of the garage but not in the middle: https://i.postimg.cc/w1Fqhz...

I really hope there is a time lapse of the project in process. I was just going to say, I am surprised there isn't a public construction cam of the project yet. I understood at first with just ground work being done, but now that they are 1/4 down with the core height, you would think there would b...

Re: Mutual of Omaha Tower (14th & Farnam)
This evening. Even at just 11 floors it’s already looking pretty impressive. Probably more like 12 or 13 at the top of the yellow. In your photo, floor 9 is just below the walkway, 10 is behind the walkway, 11 is just above the walkway, just blow the yellow, so 12 and possibly 13 are under the yell...

Looking at some of the articles from the OWH on this and it is amazing how much better that area looks now. Whoever had the idea to have the playground right next to the museum is genius.
