Based on recent City Council action, I'd have to say that the tide of public opinion has turned against the Fire Union's runaway gravy train.  I'd bet that most of the city council members have been getting a LOT of heat from angry constituents. Trust me, I'm all for the hotel 11 stories or more. I just know some folks who looked at Jlofts and were told that the hotel building at that site would not be more then 5 stories. It's hard to move from monosyllabic names to multisyllabic.  Qwest Center just rolls of the tongue.  CenturyLink Center doesn't.  And some are worse than others.  Target Field, in Minneapolis - good.  TD Ameritrade Park, in Omaha - not so good.

I would also say there are exponentially more people that have smoked marijuana and not moved on to harder stuff than the other way around.  Alcohol, cigarettes and pharmaceuticals are more addictive and worse for your body than marijuana.
