Re: Mutual Tower on the Library Lot

Can the height exceed FNBO tower? I once heard that there was an agreement between the city and FNBO that no other building could exceed the height of FNBO's tower for 100 years. Any truth to this?

Charlestons 144th

I was at the 144th and Dodge Charlestons location and heard that they just broke ground on a new location in the Boys Town Development (Heartwood Preserve) to replace their existing West O store. Has anyone else heard this? -- i hope i put this in the correct spot within the forum

Re: Heartwood Preserve (144th Dodge/Pacific)

It appears another building is going up west of the Applied Underwriters building. I believe their building runs North to south, and the building I see going up that appears to be about the same height looks to be too far away to be part of their "bat wing" shaped building. Any info?

They are planning/hoping to have Dodge to Blondo on 180th open this August - likely late in the month.

The big yellow crane is back up again at the Applied Site. Are they adding more steel to the building now? It's hard to see what's going on over there w/the hill, etc in the visual way

Re: Heartwood Preserve (144th Dodge/Pacific)

I dont think you will see the Applied project at/near completion for years. They are apparently in a lot of trouble with insurance regulators. Thats why their corporate campus came to a screeching halt. Its not due to Covid----just look North a mile to the Carson development.

Re: Privada - SWC 204th and Center

Its is actually Privada... they are getting ready to start building the streets. After viewing the plat, the area includes a couple of convenient store/gas stations and some fast food venues. It’s probably about 50% commercial and the rest is residential on the south end of the land. The estate lots...

It will be sad to see the tree farm go. The area does need a gas station and some other commercial mixed in will be well used.

Re: Boys Town and farmland (144th Dodge) up for redevelopment

HDR was offered (By Applied Underwriters) the corner/highest profile parcel (144th & Dodge) as Applied Underwriters wants to build further back on either parcel (DeMarco or Boystown). This was before they decided to build downtown...then since backed out of that deal. The article a couple months...

I don't think Harrington's survived. It appeared to be closed when I drove by last night with a note on the window. Perhaps not... I don't mean to start rumors, but this may be the case. Their phone isn't working either.

The building was purchased October '15 by Kennedy Legacy 108... Permits were pulled listing property use as "Salon Suites" as stated in this string. They are doing a lot of demo to the front step/former patio area. Looks like a lot of remodeling happening inside.

Menards certainly appears to branch out, or diversify a bit. Good for them. They seem to already be more into land development/commercial real estate than their ri...

Nebport5  -  I agree, the picture doesn't look as good as it does in person.   During the day, the front of it (South Side) seems to be more attractive w/the design, then at night, the back is my favorite...with the lighting.  The front doesn't appear to light up as much as the back does.
