Re: New HDR Corporate Headquarters
Awesome win for downtown Omaha! As a side note, it is established that HDR has an agreement with the city that no other buildings along Dodge street can block the view from HDR's office space on 84th & Dodge. Once HDR leaves that space, it might be an oppurtunity for some new infill or high rises.

Re: DJ's Dugout 180th and (Q Streets)
That Irish Bar you're thinking of is "Two Fine Irishmen." That is not the typical suburban bar with TV's, soccer moms, etc, and it is not very kid friendly. It's kind of a dive with live music. There is another bar out on 180th and Harrison called "The Caddyshack" as well. That o...

Re: Nebraska Crossing Outlet Mall(Gretna)
I work in Ashland now, and pass the Outlet mall everyday on my way to work. I also hit VooDoo Taco a couple times per month. The foot traffic is steady. When I worked at Northpark (120th and Blondo) I would go to Westroads regularly for lunch. I would say the weekly foot traffic is on par with Westr...

Re: Leytham, A New Traditional Neighborhood
With the shortage of lots in Omaha and surrounding areas, I'm surprised you couldn't get the ball rolling on this soon. I'm glad to see the idea is still alive. I was excited about this developement back in 2006 when it was first announced.Herb wrote:Yes, hope for an SID commitment springs eternal.

Re: Saigon Restaurant (120th and Center) closed?
We drove by the Saigon Restaurant at 120th and Center on Saturday at 8 pm and the lights were off and the parking lot empty. Their phone went unanswered and their web site is down. This would be a pity. We ate there a month or so ago and everything seemed normal. And the food was as good as ever...

I am not sure. I don't make it to Joslyn nearly enough. I'm not sure either. I seem to recall during a visit there once a wedding party taking photos in the fountain area (which I think is the only space inside where you can take photos), but it had to have been at least 6 yrs ago, so I'm not sur...

Incredible pictures. A question: New car had less than 4K miles on it. Â Totaled. Â It was in the garage, problem is the Garage is gone. How is that car considered totaled? Â Looks like some small dents and a missing window. Â Or is it 'totaled' in the sense that the insurance company is going to re...

3. Everybody has different taste... There are places I love and everyone hates and there are places I hate and everyone loves. I don't worry about it, I eat where I want and move on. This sums it up. So are you saying you would enter the contest? Absolutely not. Â This 'contest' sounds like a farce. I really liked this scene and I couldn't get exposed correctly for trees and FNB. Â Had to bake this a little more than I like in Adobe Lightroom.

TD, that is exactly how things are done out here with denver's light rail. They have build massive park and ride garages along the major roads that cross the light rail line. Drive or bus to the park and ride, then catch the light rail to downtown. Even though I don't have a daily commute downtown...
