It would be huge. But a streetcar system would also be huge. The Omaha poll indicated more people would rather see the streetcar thing happening than the ballpark being built. I believe a streetcar would spur more development than a ballpark. I would hate to see the streetcar project fall by the way...

I've got a truck that gets 15 miles to the gallon. That consumption is burning a hole in my bank account. Maybe when oil hits 75 or 80 dollars a barrel after Katrina hits and the markets open tomorrow, the city may look into this as a realistic option. Maybe I should fuel up tonight.
