I believe the latest on M's is that it would re-open about November 1.
The corner is slowly returning to its old glory. Today I saw a vagrant sleeping just west of the intersection, under the large awning by Nouvelle Eve.

Re: KC's Best BBQ

I was recently back in KC and had BBQ at both BB's Lawnside as well as Jack Stack at the Freighthouse. BB's has a fantastic Roadhouse atmosphere, and is located in a somewhat sketchy south side neighborhood. The food is a blend of Cajun meets BBQ, and there is live blues music almost every night. Of all of the redevelopment projects completed in Omaha this century, this is the most impressive. I've been down to the project twice and each time came away wowed. It took a lot of imagination to envision this old building evolving into such stylish housing. Kudos to everyone involved, and to the ...

Just sad. Sad. Sad news. Every single time we travel to KC we will spend an hour at their River Market, stocking up on produce, ethnic foods and seasonings before we head home. I've been doing this for 20 years. Omaha is truly missing out on a major attraction both for residents as well as tourists....

Overpriced for what you got, IMO. Second that. My food was never bad, but nor was it ever "wow!". It was pricey. When Twisted Fork, Shucks, and Brother Sebastian's are up the street, you have to solid and competitive. Agree. I live close by, but we ate there less than once a year. It was ...
