Re: Streetlight replacement with LED's

The city of Hastings, Nebraska is well on its way to changing out street lights to LED. And the city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico pretty much did this in the past couple of years.

Re: Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

Here's an idea, and I have no idea why it hasn't been at least proposed before. For zoo patrons exiting I-80 eastbound at 13th street, have an additional exit lane (or two) that includes a ramp extending over 13th street and directly into the zoo's parking lot. No back up on 13th street. Everyone's ...

That would be an awesome addition to our restaurant mix. I have eaten at M&S restaurants in several other cities and always had a nice dining experience. The one in KC is particularly beautiful, and always packed.

I found this interesting piece on urban America, focusing on why some cities grow wealthier while others can't seem to catch a break. Essentially, them that has, gets. It's from The Atlantic.

I note that of all Midwest metros, Des Moines is absolutely killing it. They are growing by way more actual people per year than Omaha, and at about a 40% faster growth rate than Omaha. All while Iowa as a state stagnates, as does most of Nebraska. Both Omaha and Des Moines are growing at a noticeab...

I was told yesterday that they are aiming to rent to Creighton students, so I am guessing it will skew toward small units at relatively low costs. Also they plan to quickly construct the pedestrian bridge linking it to the CU campus. Something that maybe should have been done 30 years ago.

The twin brix locations should be roped off as crime scenes. They send schmucks to prison for stealing $100 at a kwik shop. This guy needs to spend the rest of his life in prison if he doesn't make everyone whole. Especially those who recently bought gift cards.
