She said it brings in a lot of money for city services, almost $50 million, and doesn't hurt restaurants (in her opinion). It's here to stay as long as she is the top administrator. I wouldn't think it could hurt. On a $60 tab, that's only a buck fifty. Restaurants have raised prices so much in the...

You mean the restaurant tax implemented by Jim Suttle, that had to be done because Mike Fahey screwed up pension negotiations with the police and fire unions? That restaurant tax? I’m not sure about originally framing that as some sort of tax that falls on her, though. But let’s be honest - it’s ar...

The Rocket Carwash signs are gone and replaced with for lease signs. Finally some good news for this area. What's all the bad news that's been happening in that area? Best mayor in Omaha’s history, and it’s probably not close. Keep it going! Oh wow, I thought she had once stated this current term would be her final run. A few reports of small hail across the metro I got some Dippin Dots around my parts. It was easily a heavier rain than anything we've had this year, and I want to say it was better than them all combined. I'd be surprised if I didn't surpass an inch in my particular location just in that short time.

One good way to tell if we've had a decent rain is to look at the trees. One, if the tree is completely saturated, and two, if the lichens on the tree have greened up. Lots of trees in my neighborhood have a decent amount of lichens on them today, but aren't fully saturated. Maybe 50%. It's been a m...

I'd be okay if they wanted to extend it to the airport by way of 16th street and Carter Lake. Streetcars aren't much of a transportation solution.
