I've always thought if Omaha was like KC and went crazy with freeways, 72nd street would have been a logical addition. I like to imagine a 6 or 8 lane freeway snaking through the valleys along this corridor.

I still want to see how receptive people would be to giving one lane of Dodge to the BRT. Have the westbound curb lane be BRT and right turn only at all times except for the am rush. During the am rush have the eastbound curb lane be bus and right turn only. Then give both curb lanes of West Dodge t...

If these comparisons actually do take into account the whole metro, we could extrapolate how many more people need to move into a given area to necessitate a stellar transportation system.

If we would tear down I-480, we shouldn't lay a ground level street right where it stood. Instead, we should level it, re-establish the street grid around it, and build buildings where it stood. Keep an interstate entrance and exit at Dodge/Douglas, and one by the I-480 and US 75 interchange for Cas...

During the last mayoral debate, Stothert said Yates came back asking for more incentives, once again. So much for the take-it or leave-it offer from the city. That's what it looked like to me. That just seems so odd. I was in a QT like that in Phoenix, seemed very normal once inside. I'm still confused as to how the building will be oriented to the canopy. I'm assuming the back of the building will face Hickory, but the long length of the west wall that I saw up has me confused. Maybe I just don't understand the size of the big QT. It is after all our first.
