Re: The Crossroads (72 & Dodge)

Why would the city need to be involved then? If it’s a doable venture, the current developer should be able to sell it to a different one. If it’s a dud, I don’t want my tax dollars being spent to bail out the current developer just to have a hole in the ground that the city is stuck with. I gave a...

The city should cut a check to buy the land back. Buy it back? Unlike other "failed" projects in downtown, this project has never been owned by the city, its always been in private hands. The city is not a developer. The City owns the Civic site because they owned the arena that was on th...

I feel like it's time to close the book and start over. The city should cut a check to buy the land back. Building a streetcar to help the homeless get to Creighton? You can stop that right there. Its a red herring and has no real correlation with any topic in this thread. I have always looked at Stothert as a steady hand. She has brought stability to the area even during Covid. I can see why people like her. How can the real estate be affordable for a mega saver? I would think commercial land would be millions at 72nd and Dodge. They paid 3.7 Million for it. I think this is the crazy part. Does Megasaver know you can't turn left on Dodge. Most of your traffic is Eastbound on Dodge or cutting through the neighborhood.
