May should be a great month for the passenger numbers. I was just looking at Continental's website and today instead of the normal 8 regional jets and one mainline from both Houston and Newark. Today they had 4 regional jets and 4 mainline from Houston, and 2 regional jets and 2 mainline from Newark...

By the way, Xjet has flights from Tulsa to OKC - A much shorter distance than OMA to MCI. That route is no longer available. I got a card in the mail from JCPenny saying they are opening their doors for a sneak peak on Sunday, March 4th, from 10AM-8PM. Included in the card was a 10 dollar off card if you bought something a minimum of 10 dollars.

No. That would inconvenience so many people in Omaha just to make Lincoln feel warm and fuzzy. Hal Daub indicated on Grow Omaha last Saturday that 60% of the cars parked in Eppley's long term parking area have Iowa plates.. A couple of weeks ago United was flying 4 daily 757's to Denver, and 2 daily 757's to Chicago. And they only fly 7 non-stops usually on a weekday to Denver, and 7 to Chicago. I was looking at the Sheraton website, and i notice that it said....... "The Sheraton Omaha Hotel will be leaving the Starwood system on November 29, 2006. Please contact the hotel directly for reservations after November 29, 2006." Seems kind of odd for the Sheraton to leave there chain.....

Channel 6 had a story about it today at four, and it was mostly this lady complaining about sand, gravel, and dust getting into her car and she wanted to know what was going on. I think they said construction should start in the spring.

I just got back from my trip to NYC. It was awesome. When we left last Saturday at around 6 AM, I would say that the airport was busier than I have ever seen before at that time. I also took some of the United magazines. The trip back was heck. Our plane landed at 3:10 AM. It was horrible!!

On Friday there was a little article in the Briefly section of the Business saying that "construction has begun on a new 10,672 square foot casual dining restuarant in the northwest section of the parking lot at Westroads Mall. Granite City Food and Brewery is scheduled to open this fall."
