Re: Official - Downtown Master Plan
So wonderful to see that our City is thinking through these incredibly ambitious ideas to improve the Core. I think they ought to do every last one of them as they're all wonderful improvements to modernize our City. The 480 plan on the West side of downtown is a direct imitation of what Dallas did ...

There are some rumblings of a national indoor Karting user for the AMC. Lots of other ‘entertainment’ users haven’t been successful, I’d be curious to see how this does. Thoughts? It was mentioned on Grow Omaha back in April that DMSi Software was going to move their offices into the old AMC. Has t...

For sure strange. And at first I was somewhat mocking it. But now I don't even care. Glad something other than the 'norm' is going in there. Yes they are. Woodhouse will own it, and they're building it on L next to Alfa. Very exciting news for this market. Next up is likely Bentley, Lamborghini, or McLaren. Ferrari remains a long-shot IMO. I think all of those makes would be pretty far fetched for Omaha. You would need serious spenders ...

I guess Alfa Romeo of Omaha moved out of the Fiat store and in with Woodlouse Mazda. There's a very simple white letter sign that says Alfa Romeo of Omaha on one of their garages. More interesting though was an adjacent white letter sign on the same garage that read Maserati of Omaha. Is Omaha gett...

I am so frustrated with our streets in Omaha. Not only the sh*t quality of our streets (IMO from dumping WAY too much salt on the streets in the winter), but also the medians, intersections, and bridges that make up our town. You travel to other cities and they've done beautiful landscape in the med...

It looks like Fat Brain Toys out in Elkhorn is doing pretty well. The are doing a $250K renovation of a nearby lawn care building for their World HQ. They're doing quite well, but I do know things have changed significantly for them over the last 12 - 18 months. That is quite a building for their HQ.

Then, Dinsdale for example has endorsements from Tom Osborne and now most recently, the Omaha World Herald. Yes, he is a 'rich' guy, but does that inherently mean he's in it for the wrong reasons? I mean, couldn't he ride off into the sunset and spend his years on a beach in Barbados? After all...
