Last thing I recall is they were waiting to see what Nebraska Crossing was going to do.   That, and probably Shadow Lake, would be their biggest competition.

Nebraska Crossing since then has begun an ambitious overhaul.  The original structures are pretty much demolished as of last month.

Millard- So 138 and Discovery Drive

Any ideas on what's going in at South 138th and Discovery Drive?

Just two blocks north of the new Bucky's going in on Q Street.  Right next to the new dental office.

Large lot is now completely graded and some gravel has been spread for what could be a parking area.

138th & Q

BP and SW Tire are now totally gone.  Last portion to go was the car wash.  Now a huge vacant lot.

Even the big underground gas tanks were dug up and removed.

No new tanks (for a Buckys?) were seen going in.

Millard Best Buy closing

]Now it looks like Best Buy is leaving.  Got word the sale begins immediately with plans to be dark by May 12.

Always thought a Hard Rock Cafe would be good in the Old Market.   Omaha music history is stronger than that in Louisville or Indianapolis,   from 311 and Bright Eyes way back to Winona Harris (attended Central Hi).  Also, Grand Funk mentions Omaha in "American Band." But their expansio...
