Re: 204th and Maple

I've heard rumors of there being the potential of a Panera and Scooters joining The Good Life Bar and Grill in the new Indian Creek Retail strip being built next to Today's Dental/Walgreens. Does anyone have any confirmation of these two stores? or is this just rumors gone a muck? I hope so... It w...

Re: Crossroads - Redevelopment Plan

Newsflash: The old Best Buy has been painted & looks ready for a new business -- with that empty "eyesore" storefront next to it. What the heck? Isn't that all scheduled for the wrecking ball? Isn't that why Best Buy moved further west down the street? I think I'm giving up hope on a n...

I'm sure they'll be fine.... They are only smack-dab in the middle of "YoungFamilyVILLE" (Meaning: Millard = plenty of starter homes, plenty of kids, plenty of donuts wanted on a Saturday morning). I'm sure those rents aren't cheap, though, and it takes lots of donut sales to meet it -- yo...

Speaking of Omaha architecture, who's gonna be our next corporate company to build a nice looking building to actually add something big to the skyline and WHEN? 8) :) Your guess is as good as mine. As far as a future "Omaha Skyline Booster" goes, I'm guessing our next "hero" is...

On that other thread (adjacent to this one), you listed this: "168th St from Center to Pacific to be widened in 2017." So, it looks to be this year. You got me curious now. I'm so ready for that to be widened, being that it leads to Village Point. In Omaha, wen major suburban roads are onl...

I've never been there. Is that "Pizza Shoppe" as in the chain (the title spelled in Gothic lettering)? If so, I never knew Omaha had a Pizza Shoppe location.

Re: OMAHA Architecture

I have several problems with the woodmen. The base is too large for the size of the tower and very bland. The tower itself isn't a square, it's a rectangle which just seems odd if you see both sides. The lettering is also a big problem I have with it. I've seen pictures without the lettering and it...

I can't imagine that DD not eventually doing just fine -- if all the other locations in Omaha do just fine. It is not like they stuck it in the middle of the Millard Highlands subdivision, at the end of a long, twisty cul-de-sac. It's right there off the main drag in busy Downtown Millard. I do want...
