Re: Nebraska Football 2020

The Big 10 is pinning its hopes on playing football in the spring.

Will the Big 10's reasons for canceling fall football disappear by then? Scott Frost doesn't think so.

Re: Nebraska Football 2020

Has there been any comment on the record from any NU official, athletic department or otherwise, suggesting that NU might consider leaving the Big 10 because of this? Tom Shatel in the World-Herald is floating the possibility but it seems extremely far-fetched. NU is addicted to the Big 10 payouts. ...

Re: Vote by Mail / Absentee Voting

I hope people can appreciate how labor-intensive vote-by-mail is for the county election office. The volume this year will far exceed anything seen before especially in Douglas County. Each ballot request, and each ballot return envelope, must be manually processed by an election office worker. It's...

This thread is in the "Suburban Development" category because this board draws the "Urban" line at 72nd Street. Considering the Omaha city limits now extend beyond 204th to the west, perhaps the "Urban" line should be farther west than 72nd which is more or less midtown...

With vote-by-mail in Nebraska, the ballot is not counted unless the signature on the return envelope is a reasonable match to that on file for the voter whose name is on the envelope. What's with all the empty seats, especially in the lower bowl? Selling 6000 season tickets doesn't mean as much if people don't show up at the games. Lots of corporate seats that often don't get used. Then the owners of those seats should give them up to someone who will actually attend the games.
