Re: Dense living

The comparison to Manhattan is flawed. Most of that part of the city is so expensive that only the rich can live there. Avoiding crowds is easier when you are rich, even living in Manhattan. Living in Brooklyn and barely covering rent means the cost of crowd avoidance is not so easy. Lots of these ...

Re: Dense living

I am wondering if some businesses will rethink locating in high density areas. New York has 28,000 per sq mile. From a risk management perspective, It’s a big problem. Certain businesses may just move out of the big cities. Was watching the news and someone in New York said “I have lived here for 1...

Omaha drive in's

Found this map of all the drive in's that once existed in the U.S. I had no clue there were so many in Omaha. Are their pictures of any of them? All the dates are "unknown". Does anyone know any of the dates?

"On April 2, 2014, a protester in Oakland, California mounted a Yahoo bus, climbed to the front of the roof, and vomited onto the top of the windshield. If not the year’s most persuasive act of dissent, it was certainly one of the most memorable demonstrations in the Bay Area, where residents h...

OPS needs this. When I went to Millard North, it was almost like Buffett was another Millard middle school with all of the kids that were there. Buffett needs a swimming pool? No, I was referring to the two new high schools. You know what I was saying. Problem is that, in typical government form, t...

Pride moved to Aksarben, because a lesbian became President and wanted to make it more family-friendly. I guess I don't know what your definition of "family friendly" is, but if it is similar to mine, why is that a bad thing? Many straight parents would like to bring their children to the...

I would go to one at 72nd and Howard.  Initially it was a WC Franks with a Pizza By The Slice next door.  Then Don and Millies and now it's a tiny Office Depot. I loved going to WC's.  It was fun with all the game and they had great hot dogs.  Used to go to one in downtown Lincoln too, right by Wen...
