Microsoft has a large presence in Fargo because 15-20 years ago they purchased Great Plains Software - one of the major ERP software applications at the time. Great Plains had a large pool of talented developers and had just built a brand-new campus at the time. So Microsoft kept the campus in Fargo...

They opened up all the trails except the Merry Lane. Looking forward to this snow and getting out there on Wednesday evening. I am very impressed with the snowmaking improvements over the past 2 years.

I read that the price is 3K per year but you get 5 nights at the hotel included as well as social events and bar and food discounts.

So GF and I had tickets to the opening show next Wednesday Aug 30 - Rick Springfield, Hooters etc. At first the show was indoors, then it was moved to the outdoor amphitheater. I drove by the site on Saturday and could tell it was nowhere near ready to open. Just got notified by Ticketmaster that th...

Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the festival.
There are no plans to move back to the riverfront - the group that sponsors the event likes having it back down in the old neighborhood.
Plus the downtown location now will be hosting sand volleyball courts and other entertainment.

Re: 2023 Nebraska/Iowa Wild Fire Season
The fires were across the river from NP Dodge park - My oldest kid has a house in the Ponca Hills with a great view of the river and the flames were pretty intense.
That area of Iowa is all scrub and dead/dying trees so this fire is probably a good thing as long as it stays under control.

Went there last night and we had a great time. All of the trails were open except the south trails which are open so rarely. BUT they were making snow on those trails and grooming them last night. So maybe this weekend.
The next ten days will be excellent for making snow!

Aksarben Village
I just heard on KFAB 12:00 news that there is going to be an announcement at 2:30 today about what is going to be developed on the remaining Aksarben property.
They weren't too specific, but mentioned that it would be a combination of commercial, residential and park space.
