Re: Cable/Satellite vs. Streaming

I haven't had cable in nearly 4 years and I currently don't have any streaming services. I think for most folks, the biggest obstacle to cord-cutting is live sports. What apps or streaming services can provide BTN, ESPN & co, FS1, NFL, etc.? Been asking around to see what others are doing, but h...

120th & Dodge, NEC

QuikTrip owns it, and they currently have a For Sale sign up, but they demolished the buildings and have been moving dirt like crazy lately. Anyone hear of any plans, or did they just clear it off to give a potential buyer an empty piece of ground?

Re: 2017 Omaha Mayoral Election

I work near the Election Commission office and they have it set up again today (primary was same) as if there will be big crowds going there. Maybe I'm missing something, but on the actual voting day, isn't it the assumption that voters will go to their polling places? I thought going to the commiss...

Re: Casual Pint - Countryside Village

Finally made it for Bells & Brats last night. What a great little bar! Knowledgeable, friendly bartenders, great atmosphere, great beer selection. I concur with Brad - the garage door open to the patio in February was a great bonus! Will definitely be back. Walked by Cedar on the way back to the...

Re: Casino Buffets about played out!

I worked at one of the casinos right after they first opened. The excitement of them being new to the area and the competition amongst the three properties made for a fun and challenging work environment. People used to wait in line for the buffets for over an hour, sometimes two. I remember telling...

Apparently it's a "distribution point" of the Papillion location.  Open for lunch 11-2 Monday through Saturday with a limited menu.  Hope it's permanent!

A "normal" beer selection?  Where do you shop?  I think they have a huge variety of beers to choose from - more than Hy-vee.  I agree with the poster who mentioned the better vibe on weekends - there are many times when you can't get a seat at the bar or a table on the retail side.  Gi...

I moved out of the Bentley Apartments 6 years ago (bought a house, got married), but lived in a one bedroom there for 6 1/2 years.  They're just east of the Westroads at 95th & Burt.  GREAT location close to I-680 and Dodge; only 1 and 2 bedroom units; small complex; nice workout room and pool...

The current location has an event center as well.  It's basically a very nice party room that they use for their wine and beer dinners as well as renting it out for private events.  I love the Village Pointe location, but am excited to see the store in a more "intimate" setting, with eve...

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!  We live on the north side of town, so we actually ended up at Henry's Diner in Crescent.  It was delicious - we had steak and prime rib.  Service was great too - highly recommend it if you want to get out of town some night.

CB restaurant suggestions?

I couldn't really find a recent thread devoted to restaurants in CB.  Going to the Roller Girls tonight and looking for a good place to eat before the match.  Prefer locally owned, made from scratch goodness, and relatively close to the MAC.  And it's probably too late to get a reservation for Di...

De Leon's Mexican - Omaha Locations

Going into the old Godfather's space on the SEC.  It's not open yet, but they're doing work inside and there is already signage outside.  Sign says it's open 24 hours - anyone know anything about it?
